If you are grieving the death of a loved one and are beginning to wonder how you will deal with the upcoming holidays without the person who died, or perhaps you are dreading them and looking for a way to escape, you are invited to attend a presentation by the facilitators of our GriefShare program, Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge, licensed clinical psychologist, and Dr. Robert DeVries, pastor and seminary professor (emeritus). They will suggest and discuss a number of ways you can plan for and manage the approaching holidays, using them as opportunities to grow but in the process not overwhelm yourself. The presentation will be held at Mt. Bethel UMC on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in room B115-116. Registration is not required unless you have young children and would like child-care during the seminar. If so, call Jamie at 678-525-5894. Attendance is open to anyone who is actively grieving or wants to understand more about grief and the holidays. You do not have to be attending GriefShare meetings to come. Coffee, tea, water and muffins will be served. This is an opportunity to invite family and friends from the community at large. We will give many helpful tips to help you tackle Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day in a healthy manner. Everyone who would like to will also be invited to light a candle in memory of their deceased loved one at the end of the time together. Hope to see you there!
