How to Find Support & What to Expect

Experience the support and encouragement of GriefShare from your home, or wherever you prefer, with an online GriefShare group.

The very same support you’d find at an in-person group.

Watch the same GriefShare videos and other support materials used in in-person groups. The group format is similar as well. Each week you’ll discuss the GriefShare videos and your journey of grief with others who are dealing with the loss of a loved one.

What do you need to join an online group?

You will need a computer and reliable internet connection to join an online group, view session videos, and participate in the online discussion. It is best to reach out to the group contact for more details on the specifics for that particular group.

How to join a group

  1. Find a group
  2. Find a time and day that works for you through the Find a Group search tool. You can find a local group meeting online or one that doesn’t meet near you but works for your schedule.

  3. Register and pay for your group
  4. Most groups require a ≈ $20 fee to cover the cost of the GriefShare materials workbook. The exact fee is determined by the host church and the workbook will ship directly to you.

  5. Wait for details from your group leader
  6. Once registered, your group leader will send you more details about how your group will meet for group discussion and provide links for accessing group meetings. You’ll also receive an email from your leader about how to use your email and password to log in to watch the GriefShare session videos before or after the meeting.
