Shepherd Church GriefShare

Hello, my name is Valerie, and I am one of the volunteer leaders for the Griefshare program hosted by Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch. Our other leaders are Angela and Joy. We meet on Monday evenings at 7:00pm at the church. Our next session will begin January 22, 2024. The doors you will enter are facing Rinaldi, just West of Corbin and across the street from Starbucks.
You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. You will be able to continue with GriefShare through the next 13-week cycle and view any of the videos you have not seen. The schedule of meeting will be below.
Each week your GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. This program is Christian Based, and we open in prayer and close in prayer.
After viewing the video and you are uncomfortable speaking that is ok, you and the other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in your lives.
We will be meeting in person and will be following the necessary protocol to be compliant to the Shepherd Church Guidelines and Los Angeles County.
1. If required by LA City mask must be worn while in the facility.
2. Seating is six feet apart unless you are attending with a family member that lives with you.
3. If required by LA City your temperature will be taken when you check in.
4. If you are feeling ill, please stay home.
5. Please try to come early to fill out the registration forms.
6. The only cost to you will be $20 for the workbook that will be extremely helpful in working through your Grief. Make Checks payable to Shepherd Church or cash. We do not have access to a credit card machine.
