My wife and I lost our 20 year-old unexpectedly and without cause on December 15, 2019. Over the past 2 years, we have wrestled with all the pain and questions that come with that grief. I took a course to get a grief and trauma counseling certificate, mainly so I would understand my grief better.
One thing we have figured out is we can't do this journey alone! This grief journey will never end so we need others to share in our grief. My counselor suggested I attend Grief Share a few months ago and then a friend suggested we have one at our church. I took that as a prompting from God to lead a group.
We don't have all the answers! We still hurt! We still experience all the parts of grief! But we can share in that together and help carry each others' burdens. Although this group is based on scripture, EVERYONE is welcome. You do not need to be a part of a church or even believe in God. You can come, share, and grow with us.
