Healing from your grief is not easy. It’s a long, sometimes painful process.
We want to help you on your journey toward recovery. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. One attendee said “Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.” The Trinity GriefShare support group will begin on Monday, January 21,2019 at 3:00 PM and run for 13 weeks. Meetings will take place in the afternoons at Trinity Lutheran Church, 107 N. State St., Merrill, and will be held in the conference room located on the upper level of the church.
Each week the GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. After viewing the video, the group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in their lives. Then, during the week they will have the opportunity to use their workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out their emotions through journaling. The group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study guide. The group is open to everyone. Check out the GriefShare website for more information at www.greifshare.org.
