Southwest Church GriefShare

Southwest Church offers GriefShare Recovery Program to the Desert community. GriefShare is a Bible based, Christ-centered 13-week workshop to help bereaved survivors find their way to a meaningful life after the death of a loved one. The Grief-Share Group provides a safe and confidential environment where survivors gain a better understanding of the grief journey; where hope, encouragement and coping skills are offered and where survivors’ needs, fears and feelings are both understood and validated in a non-judgmental and loving atmosphere. 

The first 35-40 minutes you will watch a DVD video seminar. The GriefShare videos cover topics essential to your recovery from the hurt of grief and loss. The videos feature interviews with grief recovery experts, on location videos and real life stories of people who have experienced the death of a loved one. Each video offers expert insights on topics important to grief recovery.
After the videos you will become part of a small support group to talk about what you’ve seen on the video and to share what’s going on in your own life journey after your loss. (There is no requirement that you share, you can just listen. Videos include: “Is This Normal? Challenges of Grief, Part One and Two, The Journey of Grief, Grief and Your Relationships, “Why?”, Guilt and Anger, Stuck, Lessons of Grief, Part One and Two, Heaven and What Do I Live for Now?”
