Marvin Methodist Church GriefShare

GriefShare, a Christ-centered grief support group, will begin Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and conclude April 20 at Marvin United Methodist Church, 300 W. Erwin St. in Tyler. Participants will receive a calendar the first evening; a meeting may be postponed in the event of bad weather, and spring break, if that is the choice of participants. Sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude around 7:30 p.m. in Marvin’s first-floor parlor. The 13- week video and discussion series offers a comfortable, supportive and encouraging atmosphere to help participants express emotions and to grow in grief. Topics range from “Is This Normal?” to “What Do I Live for Now?” GriefShare is for those experiencing fresh grief as well as long-ago grief in any circumstance. Facilitators include the Rev. Gerry Giles, Pastor of Congregational Life, and Marvin members Debbie Weber and Carol Thompson. Materials and child care are provided at no cost.
