South Suburban Christian Church GriefShare

GriefShare is a weekly seminar-support group open to all adults, church members or not, who have had someone close to them die, whether that occurred recently or years ago. After the funeral, others can go back to their normal lives, but your life will never be the same. Your grief fills your days and nights and you may feel you will never be able to go back to "normal." Don't be alone at this painful time! Join with others who understand the pain.
Call if childcare is required - may be available with advance reservation BY September 21, and for children 3 years and under.
The first GriefShare meeting is Orientation Night. The following weeks address different aspects of grief, such as "Is this normal?"

We are also offering a morning seminar GriefShare "Loss of a Spouse" on September 18, 10 am - 12 pm. Register for that on its separate listing. Another seminar GriefShare "Surviving the Holidays" is scheduled for November 13, 2021, 10 am - 12 pm. We have an annual Candlelight Remembrance Service, and dinner, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm. Come to each event and the weekly sessions. Be around others who understand how you may be feeling. All facilitators have walked through their own journey of grief and they can support you each step of the way!
