Mt Bethel Church GriefShare

New group beginning October 6, 2021 - All are Welcome
If you are actively grieving the death of a significant person in your life, including the death of a spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or friend, we would strongly encourage you to consider attending the 13-week GriefShare educational support group offered by Mt. Bethel Church at 4385 Lower Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA 30068. Our group meets weekly in person from 6:30 pm-8:15 pm beginning Wednesday, October 6, 2021. We request that if you have not been fully vaccinated for Covid-19, you join us online through the Zoom option. The online weekly session is offered on the Sunday following the Wednesday meeting from 4:00 – 5:15 p.m. through Zoom for those who prefer the “virtual” option. The first date of that online meeting is Oct. 10, 2021.
This series of GriefShare is facilitated by Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge (R.N. & Clinical Psychologist) and Dr. Robert DeVries (pastor) who also appear as grief experts on the GriefShare DVD series. The in-person meetings generally begin with a quick introduction and a check in with participants followed by watching a 35 - 40 minute DVD. The remainder of the meeting is used for a discussion of the video and other issues and topics related to the participants’ own grief journey. Those who participate through the online Zoom option will need to register their email address with the church, and the GriefShare headquarters will send you a verification email to which you need to respond to gain direct access on GriefShare.org for the weekly DVDs. The Zoom meeting on Sundays does not include a showing of the DVD. You will need to watch the DVD at your convenience during the week preceding the meeting. The entire online meeting time focuses on a discussion of the DVD and any other grief issue the participants may want to discuss.
This program is open to anyone from the community and can be joined at any point in the series. We encourage participants to attend as many of the meetings as possible, but we will welcome you whenever your schedule permits. For more information, please contact Rev.
