Joining a group about Grief is very difficult. It is Not a group that people are looking forward to joining. You are already mourning your loss, and perhaps you don't really gleaned from leading this group for 13 years ; my co-facilitators and I have found that sharing your pain,really does ease ones suffering. Discovering that the ways that you are coping are not 'strange or wrong' is quite comforting to realize.
