I am Tom Durrant and I will be facilitating the upcoming Grief/Share group meeting at Highlands Community Church.
In 2015 I lost my wife of 39 years. Three months later, following the advice of several friends, I participated in a Grief/Share group. I didn’t know anyone in these meetings, but since we all had a common burden, it was very easy to relate to each person. We had a shared knowledge of the struggles that had fallen upon us. This was deeply comforting for us all.
I am not an expert on this topic. I don’t know all the answers to life, but the videos and homework assignments, along with the discussion times; all served to help us to adjust to life without my bride by my side.
My desire is to provide a safe, understanding, and supportive environment for you as we explore the various facets of God’s promised comfort.
