The Experts

Here’s a list of the experts who are featured in GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays. Some you’ve seen before. Others are new. We’re certain that your guests and current group members will be encouraged by what they share. Don’t believe us? Take a moment to watch a few of the clips from the video.

	The hosts for the GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays video are David and Nancy Guthrie. David and Nancy have experienced devastating loss and were transformed by their grief experience. The Guthries lost two infant children, Hope and Gabriel, within months after birth, and now minister to others in grief. David is an executive in the church music publishing industry and owns and directs Little Big Stuff Music, a publisher of children’s musicals. Nancy, an author and Bible teacher, runs her own media relations firm. Nancy has authored many books, including Holding On to Hope and The One Year Book of Hope. The Guthries co-authored When Your Family’s Lost a Loved One.
	Sabrina D. Black is an international speaker and professional counselor. She is the CEO and clinical director of Abundant Life Counseling Center in Detroit, Michigan, and has authored/co-authored several books.
	Dr. Robert C. De Vries and Dr. Susan Zonnebelt-Smeenge have both experienced the loss of a spouse. Now remarried to each other, they work together to help people in grief. Dr. De Vries is professor emeritus of church education at Calvin Theological Seminary. Dr. Zonnebelt-Smeenge is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. They are speakers and joint authors of several books and articles.
	Elsa Kok Colopy is a speaker, the associate editor of Focus on the Family magazine and the author of several books for women and single mothers.
	Sue Lutz served as a counselor at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) for 14 years. Now she counsels at her church, where her husband is pastor.
	Lois M. Rabey is a speaker at churches, conferences and television/radio programs, and she is the author of numerous books.
	Jodi Rule-Rouse is a GriefShare consultant and trainer at Church Initiative. She was the grief and loss minister at Canyon Ridge Church in Nevada for over 14 years.
	Dr. Paul David Tripp is the president of Paul Tripp Ministries and the author of several books on practical issues of Christian living. He is on the pastoral staff of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia and has been a counselor for many years.
	H. Norman Wright is a grief therapist and certified trauma specialist. He is the author of 70 books. He is on the faculty of Talbot Graduate School of Theology and on the executive board of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
